ART CLUB
Ligon's Visual Art Club is a great place for students who are truly interested in visual arts! Our Mission is to provide each and everyone one of our art club members with and opportunity to express their individuality through the creation of artworks that will give back to our surrounding community, school and others. We encourage each student to use their talents and gifts in unique ways!
How Do I Join?
Students can apply every semester! Priority will be given to 8th grade students.
How Often Do We Meet?
Art Club meets every two weeks in Ms. Murphy's classroom, room 6101. Our meetings are on MONDAYS from 2:30-4:15 pm. Pick up is on Haywood Street.

As Ligon is a school that supports a Quiz Bowl team, we have been invited to participate in a NC contest called the Art Showcase. Individual entries are juried by art media category. The theme is NEW BEGINNINGS. More information can be found at https://ncscholastic.org/competitions/art-showcase and on the Art Competition page of Ligon’s Art site.
